Prenatal testing
The good news of pregnancy is followed by the prenatal check-up which aims to ensure the smooth development of the pregnancy for both the mother and the foetus.
Our laboratory, with consistency and responsibility required this important event, undertakes to carry out a complete prenatal profile of haematological and biochemical tests.
- General blood test, iron and ferritin levels.
- Haemoglobin electrophoresis
- Blood type and Rhesus
- Serology test for Rubella, Cytomegalovirus and Toxoplasmosis.
- Test for HIV I and II, Hepatitis B and C and Syphilis
- Gene testing for cystic fibrosis
- Non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT)
- Measurement of biochemical indicators PAPP-a and β-hCG.
- Glucose measurement and glucose tolerance test (sugar curve)
- Thyroid check
- Vaginal smear culture for haemolytic streptococcus, Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum.
